Heptafluoropropane(HFC-227ea) is a color less, nearly odor less, insulation gas at room tempera-ture and normal pressure. its desity is six times that of air. it is a colorless, non-toxic, non-flammable and transparent liquid under the pressure created by itself. it has excellent thermal and chemical stabilities.

As a clean , encironment-friendly, high effective and low toxic fire-extinguishing agent, it is an idal substitute for halon 1301, and has been listed on NFPA2001 standard fire-extinguishing agent by the US national fire proof association. It can also be used as refrigerant and medicine propellant.
